#1 Lawmaker summoned to explain sex tape
JAKARTA (Reuters) - An Indonesian parliamentary committee intends to question a legislator over a video distributed on the Internet that appears to show him naked with a singer, the head of the committee said Wednesday.
The shaky, one-minute video that appears to show Yahya Zaini, a member of parliament from the country's biggest party, Golkar, with the woman has caused shock in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country.
"We will summon him and ask him explain this matter clearly," Slamet Effendy Yusuf, chairman of the House of Representatives' honorary commission, said by telephone.
The commission has the power to dismiss lawmakers.
Yusuf said Zaini, also chairman of Golkar's religious affairs department, could be dismissed as legislator if it was proved that he was the person on the video, which media reports said was shot two years ago.
"I don't know where he is now. I tried to call him but his mobile phone did not answer. I sent him an SMS but he didn't reply," he said.
Zaini could also not immediately be contacted by Reuters for comment.
The woman who was naked in the video, Indonesian pop singer Maria Eva, held a televised news conference in which she said she took the footage using her mobile phone.
She denied distributing the video on the Internet and said she had lost her mobile phone.
The video has been widely passed around the Internet and has grabbed headlines over the last few days in Indonesia, which is generally conservative on matters of sex and not used to the sort of sex scandals that have affected politicians in other countries.

#2 Norway court rules no tax on strip club "artists"
SLO (Reuters) - A Norwegian court ruled Tuesday that strip clubs did not have to pay value added tax (VAT) because their services were a form of art performed by artists, a Norwegian news agency said.
Tax authorities had taken club operator Blue Engel AS to court for refusing to charge customers an additional 25 percent VAT on ticket sales.
"One can suspect there were moral scruples behind the tax authorities' claim since all forms of stage dance are free of value-added tax," the club owner's
>attorney Stein Fagerhaug was quoted as saying by Norwegian online news service Nettavisen.
It was not clear if the state would appeal against the ruling, which upheld a lower court decision.
The state was also ordered to cover the club owner's legal costs of around $24,500, Nettavisen said.
