Hmmm ... if we are talking actual movie reels ... in a theatre .... (purely fantasy here, but) I'd go for a godfather festival.
Saw The Godfather for the first time about 2 years ago. One of the theatres here in town shows old movies during the summer so I got to see it on the big screen. I'm convinced that's the only way to watch it!
DVD (or VHS)
John Wayne triple feature - Rio Bravo, North to Alaska, The Quiet Man
"I want to be 16 again" festival (movies I loved back in the day) -
Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Girl's Just Want to Have Fun, The Breakfast Club, CaddyShack
Feel like singin' festival - Sound of Music, The Little Mermaid, Oklahoma, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
I'm still thinking ....

fzzy, you are so cool! I really like your taste in movies. I'm right there. Hitchcock first, then the action flicks.

Lots of movies have been released and many new members have joined our village since this thread started...
Any additions?

LOTR extended editions would be one whole day to itself.
I do House marathons by myself all the time. (I love that show though I still need to get seasons 4 and 5.)
Lethal Weapons, followed by the Die Hards.
Fast and Furious would be most of day by themselves. If I have time I continue with that type of movie such as Gone in 60 sec. (Nicolas Cage version)
