Ugh, I'd likely do the same.
Few years ago, me and hubby were down visiting my family and staying with my grandparents. I went out back and stepped onto the porch, and a itty bitty 7 or 8" garter snake slithered across the cement and under the porch. I jumped onto the rail, and screamed my head off until Nick heard me and came running. I jumped into his arms, and made him carry me inside and shut all the doors. After I explained, he started laughing, but he said when he heard me scream, he thought for sure I'd found my grandpa lying dead in the garden, or something.
As for rubber snakes... UGH UGH UGH. The plastic ones that stay in one position are nothing. I won't touch them, sure, but I can tell they are nothing.
On the other hand, those damn rubber ones that flop all over when you pick em up.... Well, my son got one last year, and we were cleaning his room, and I made Nick pick it up and put it away, and held my breath cringing, on the verge of a panic attack, at the
idea that he might toss it at me, just to tease me. UGH UGH UGH.
Have I said UGH?
