Let's see, doing the math...

Started dating in May of...well, never mind what year, just say a long time ago...continued dating thru our senior year, early in the year after graduation we moved in together. Engagement was very short, less than a month between future MIL laying down the law & getting hitched in night court (was a Friday afternoon, & the day judge had left early, so no, we didn't have a bunch of drunk & disorderlies to witness the ceremony...)

Met 48 years ago on May 14th on a blind date. The girl I was going to date that night had broken her foot and didn't want to try and hobble around on the cast and crutches, so my friend that we were going to double with, arranged for me to me his girlfriend's best friend ... the girl destined to be my wife). Dated for two years and got engaged and married a year later on June 22nd. This'll be number 45. Best thing that ever happened to me.

Dated steadily for 4 months before engagement but dated casually off and on for a year before. Engaged 6 months, married 21 years this June.
