This isn't as isolated a case as it sounds! Upon FINALLY arriving at our destination on our trip to Key West recently, I was awakened the next morning by Mr. Lixy, who was watching a morning news story about a similar incident. Seems a man from the Dominican Republic wanted to stow away on an American Airline plane flying from the Dominican to South Florida with a lay-over somewhere along the line. He DID get into the wheel well of that plane and was discovered, dead, on it's arrival in Miami. They missed him in the lay-over check and up he went again, still in the wheel well. Anyway...they said the same thing about the dangers. He may have died from the wheel extraction, or from the cold when up so high. An autopsy was preformed, but I never heard the outcome.
While we watched this, after our fiasco of bumped flights and peculiar explainations of the bumps, we were sure this had been the reason for our delays. Come to find out it was that very morning and not the previous day that this was all discovered. But, I'm still pretty sure it may have played some role in our frustration!
I feel like Oliver North when I say shit like that...lol!
