Your friend is probably back home with his wife,and as for the model,well she was a junkie and died of an overdose.A pretty bleak movie as you can tell.I really didn't like this film very much.

You didn't address the first question, though.

The images of another man fucking Nicole was Tom imagining what could have happened when Nicole met this particular military officer. In the movie she told him how she met this guy and came within a hair of fucking him and that given the chance she probably would have.

It apparently made an impression on him.
