When Girl Scouts first started selling cookies, they were actually baked by the girls. But as sales grew & life styles changed, cookie companies were hired. There are a lot of different companies used. And even though they follow a recipe from GSUSA, there are differences. Which could explain why the peanut butter ones taste different to you now Lixy. Our council recently switched from 'ABC Bakers' to 'Little Brownie Bakers'. There is a very noticable difference in the Thin Mints, Peanut Butter and S'moa's. The rest are pretty close to the same taste & texture.
One of the girls in my troop sold 365 boxes!! And she probably won't be the top seller in our community. Last years top sales was 489.
My favorite is one they discontinued, Strawberries 'n cream.
Next fav's are a tie between Thin Mints & Peanut Butter.
