That is a totaly antithesis of what the beef industry was touting about the beef prices just recently. They claimed that because of the Atkin's Diet, (hi protein diet) beef and egg prices were up because of demand.

high demand = high prices was the formula that they used........

We couldn't get a pound of 80% lean hamburger for under $2.09 per pound when it used to be $1.29!!!! And eggs went up almost double from what they were!!!

Now, because of the scare they are going to raise the prices more??????? Where did the formula of low demand = lower prices go?????? I look for the governent (hahahaha) to step in to check out beef-gouging like they do when the oil industry tries to manipulate gas prices.

I am going to watch prices very closely..... I believe that they may go down, and when they do, I intend to fill my freezer, 'cause once the scare is over, I do expect the prices to go up more....
