Been there, done that, and I can tell you it was painful as hell. This has gone on for a year and a half you say? If it hasn't happened yet, I can pretty much guarantee it will NOT happen in the future. I do not say this to be cruel, but what I see as the truth, and drawing from my own experience.

Learn (as hard as it is, and I do know it is hard) to get over her...go out and meet other people and try to distance your romantic feelings from this woman. Like Steph mentioned, it pretty much sounds like she just wants you as a friend. If you continue down the road you are traveling, you are just destined for a lot of unhappiness and frustrationg, believe me, I went down that road for almost three years with someone I was totally in love with...it just was not pretty and pretty much made me a shell of a man. Don't let it happen to you...please....
