Celticangel has told me several times that some good lovin' has eased her cramps to almost nothing....... the salad/brownies thing sounds like it would work too!! And there's nothing wrong with a hot bath either...... hopefully "herself" will appreciate the thought, and it DOES help a lot of ladies with the cramps!
