I can't help but smile too and you should be proud of her. She was standing up for herself and 'the underdog'. All she needs to do now is learn how to stand up for herself in a more appropriate manner.
My feeling is that the parents are making idle threats to cover their embarrassment that their child was being obnoxious and the humiliation that a smaller, female child, cut him down to size.
Good luck and I hope the situation sorts itself out.
Oh and Lil - my bad influence was/is called Karen. I met her when I was 16 and she has helped mould me into the creature I am today.
