1) Since I'm not reading the book I'm not sure, but are you saying that a guy went down on another guy? The author might not necessarily be suggesting that the act of oral sex is exactly dirty, but rather the act of homosexuality...which for many years has been considered evil by many religious types - that is not my point of view because to answer your 2) question, yes the butt turns me on too (and I'm a chick).
