Interesting enough, in 1958 when we came back from Japan, we missed sailing on the Sultan again. It was scheduled to dock in Yokohama a week after we left. Instead, we came back on the William Mitchell. It set a record (for the Mitchell) in making the best time ever from Yokohama to Seattle.
