Your preference, Lord Snow, while common, is by no means universal. I've got no problem with the word "fat," and there are plenty more where I came from. It's a descriptor, just like the word "tall," "brunette," or "funny," all of which I am, as well. I don't need euphemisms, even if others do, because I stopped drinking the cultural Kool-aid that being fat is wrong, bad, something to be ashamed of or apologize for, or any other negative thing we've put on it. It's just one way of having a body; we've all got 'em, and they're all different, and that's really, truly OK. And I was looking at some fine fat ladies who are totally fine with being called fat, because, hey! they are! And I know I'm not alone in enjoying that--I know there are a few Pixies who look at and enjoy my photos BECAUSE I'm fat, not in spite of it.
