A $599 computer will end up running $1100? I have bought 3 systems on sale in stores and paid much much less and have never been missing a program or device that I could not later get inexpensively or free on the web. I am no expert on what is what so I can't help I just worry you are spending nearly twice as much as you were going to be originally paying.
