Power Hungry Morons
 

Morning all,

I need to vent something and hope you dont mind.

I just called in work this morning to say that im not going to be able to drive a bus because ive been up all night being sick. Finally managed to get my head down for some sleep at 4:30am!!!

I called in at 5:30am and im due to start at 7. Apologised to the guy that answered the phone and said "Im not gonna be in today cause ive been up all night being sick and have only just managed to get some sleep" and you know what he said.... "Why didnt you call at 4?? Are you gonna be back on Friday (i have 2 days off after this)"

He was so rude that if i had been a customer i would have asked to speak to his manager. The only difference between him and me is that 2 months ago he was moved off the road into the office.. Isnt it funny how power changes people from being great guys/gals into power crazed maniacs.

Thanks soda im sure i will... I think sitting in a box of glass with little or no air con or air movement in 30deg C heat (add a few for the glass) finally got to me

Think positive, the guy you talked to may have just had something bad happen to him ... who knows.

He may have been upset because he might have had to fill in for you, and could've gotten someone else to cover had he known earlier.

But the bottom line is...that's his job, and it's no excuse for acting like that.
