Sounds like they're trying to turn it into a health drink .... trying to corner all of the market, but I think you're right Lil, when I think of why someone wants a beer, that wouldn't factor into the choice!

I would try it too, but I wouldn't expect to taste "beer" as I drank it. It appears as if AB is targeting a new audience - a younger crowd who admits not liking the taste of beer. From the description and alcohol content it reminds me of a wine cooler in a can.

hormones in our meat and dairy, spices in our soda, vitamins in our water and now they're adding crap to beer. :rolleyes2 isn't it dangerous to mix uppers with downers??? lol

Well, the company can't brew decent beer, they need to do something, they're obviously getting desperate.

Sounds like they're trying to fuck-up beer the way Starbucks fucked-up coffee...

I'm not a budweiser fan, not a beer fan in general (tend to go for the hard stuff in ALL areas of my life hehehe), but this is just ridiculous. Beer should taste horrible :p it's a universal law.

Then again, I think it's ridiculous that they sell Jack Daniels cocktails and try to pass them off as having a significant amount of JD in them. They taste like fricken kool-aid. This is just another trendy thing, it'll pass.

I am a bit biased...cause this is my industry...but functional drinks are onthe rise. People need easier and more efficacious ways to get their vitamins and nutrients....and energy drinks are also big (think Red Bull).

Budweiser is trying to go after the energy drink segment here....kind of like how some people drink Red Bull with other forms of alcohol. Same concept. I hope they will be successful.

But...to those of you who are beer purists (and I am one of these) ~~ don't think of it as beer...it's an entirely other drink. Evaluate it in that manner....you may love it, you may hate it....but it won't taste like beer. :)
