Another one bites the dust!

A business group led by Sony has moved to buy Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Hollywood’s last major independent movie studio for almost $5 billion. I also read that Sony intends to close the company’s ongoing studio operations. Does this mean that MGM will not be filming any new movies?
