*BANG*

Oops! Sorry db hun! I diverted the gun as Mr. Lixy shot...and Bubba got away! Whew! Mr. Lixy never types on here. That bang musta been a misfire! LOL!

Lovely pic db! I know the awe and am glad you shot with a camera instead of what hubby was trying to do!

Glad he missed, Lixy. Whew. That was close. Speaking of close, the last time I was at the park, a doe came within about 25 feet of me. Wish I would have had a camera. She was beautiful!

Sweet pic! Is this a state park you visit, DB?

Great pic. Deers look better running free in the forrest than they would over the hood of a truck of some yahoo drunk on Nasti Spumante from their local Wal-Mart.

Beautiful picture. There are deer all over the place here, sometimes they are standing right in my yard, if the dog is inside and not barking at them lol

They are beautiful, graceful creatures!

Actually, there are two that I visit ... both city parks (different towns) of 1,000 acres or more.

Both are very wooded with lots of trails and secluded areas (better for some pictures :D ). The one with the deer has two small lakes for fishing and in a flat Illinois, some low rolling ground.

What I really like is to go at about 6AM when you often have the parks to yourself. It's a quiet, peaceful place to drink coffee (or take pictures). There's a couple of state parks nearby, but they're just a bit further so haven't gone to them as much.

Sweet! I'm looking forward to getting out of the city for a weekend or two to see wooded areas.

Ironically, our big parks are crazy crowded. Maybe I'll start visiting at 6 a.m. if I can ever wake up that early.
