Damn It All To Hell Any Way!!!!

By the time I got home from the grocery store my ice cream had melted. How long do I have to wait til it gets firm??? or should I just get out a straw?

IAKaraokeGirl 05-14-2004 12:47 PM

Today's high is supposed to be 59 here after a few weeks of warm, warm weather.

*whispers, "That wouldn't have happened in Iowa."* ;)

osuche 05-14-2004 12:48 PM

Hmmm...I'd make a shake.

naughtyangel 05-14-2004 12:58 PM

That wouldn't have happened here, either LOL So sorry, but I have no advice...though the milkshake idea sounds yummy!

Gilly 05-14-2004 01:07 PM

Next time, bring one of those small igloo coolers to stick it in. :D Put an ice pack in there, and it'll keep till you can get a dish, some syrup, and a spoon. :D

Lilith 05-14-2004 01:11 PM

It's 90+ here today.

Thanks Gilly...is what we usually have to do in June/July. Just warm early.

WildIrish 05-14-2004 02:12 PM

I think ice cream has a refractory period of 4 hours. :D

Lilith 05-14-2004 02:20 PM

It would taste better licked off somebody anyways :p

PantyFanatic 05-14-2004 03:11 PM

I like to take my small igloo cooler right to the factory and just havve them fill that up. ;)

Go ahead and make yourself a SNAKE:eek: ...... I mean shake.:D

gekkogecko 05-14-2004 03:13 PM

How long it takes until it gets firm depends on how willing you are to work at it. You should know that by now, Lilith.

Lilith 05-14-2004 03:21 PM

Well I'm used to it being hard instantly...I don't usually have to work too hard:p

Sharni 05-14-2004 05:05 PM

I love soft ice cream....i get it straight out of the freezer into a bowl and into the microwave to make it soft *LOL*

but i can tell ya...you could drive hours here at present and it would be still hard!

LixyChick 05-14-2004 05:52 PM

When it gets to be 90+ here (which it's been this past week), I make sure they bag all of my frozen stuff (or at least a lot of it, including the ice cream) in one plastic bag and then stuff it in a paper one and I'll roll the top down to seal in the "cool" till I can get home. Works pretty good beings I make grocery shopping my last stop on my errand list.

Did you enjoy the milkshake?
