am i stupid or is it just me?
 

i am a web-navigating virgin. perhaps i should have started with something easier but i jumped in with both feet and now i'm drowning. i've been reading some threads (what the hell does that mean anyway: threads) and i try to respond but i find i get kicked back to the "you are not logged in page". does my computer suck, am i not allowed to reply, what?? i spend all this time composing a witty reply (self deprecating laugh inserted here) only to find i have been thwarted yet again.
btw, i am impressed with some of the discussions; very intelligent and deep stuff here. whooda thunk it?
i also tried to submit a masturbation story (cammy interrupted)but it ended up at the bottom of the erotic story page. so it languishes, barely read, until i can figure out how to move it. i can't even figure out how to link it here for anyone interested.
any suggestions would be useful and appreciated

I read your story and a mod will move it for you. It was great. I have a feeling you do not have your user cp set to allow the board to place cookies. Also if you take longer than 15 minutes to compose a reply you will log out. I am gonna check your settings. Maybe I can figure it.

Your cookies are set fine so I can only assume you time out cause after 15 minutes in one spot the board reads you as having left.

Hi wyndhy... Welcome to Pixies! I've often 'timed out' when crafting my reply to a thread. My solution is to copy what I've written every few minutes and then hit F5 to refresh the page. When it reloads I paste what I've written already and continue on with my reply and if I'm still not done I'll do the copy/refresh/paste again. FYI, what I do is hit 'ctrl-a' (to select all that I've written), the 'ctrl-c' (to copy), F5 (to refresh), and then 'ctrl-v' after clicking in the response box again (tp paste it). Hope this helps...

Sure PF anytime you want to tell a story, you can write it and as a special service just for you .... I'll be happy to fix your typos, etc. :) -- well actually I'd do it for most anyone, but you'd be at the top of my list if there were more than one to do it on at a time. :D

Um...Welcum to Pixies wyndhy! I'm with Sharni on the time-out thingy. I just don't do it unless my puter's been on for hours...and then it's my ISP who tells me, "Hey! You! Get off of my cloud"! I just leave my page open and redial (yes, I still have dial-up...yuck!)...and I'm good to go for several more hours. Nothing lost either...unless I do something stupid like trying to go back to main page or something (I hate when I do that) before the dial-up is connected. I wish you well on your new ventures...and BTW (means by the way)...a thread is this thing that you started by asking your question. Your post and all it's replies equals one thread!
