Not now I'm reading....

the yummiest sexiest book and am 1/2 way through it and don't want to stop, except to stretch my hand which keeps getting a cramp:o

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by A.N. Roquelaure (aka Anne Rice) is a loverly, easy-to-read, quickie for those of you who like your sex less vanilla. Lots of powerplay and BDSM, all wrapped up in a lovely little modern fantasy adaptation of a fairy-tale.

What was the last thing you read, that you read straight through, and could not be bothered to stop reading, even to put out a small house fire???:p:spin:

Last book I read cover to cover without stopping was the first book in a series 3 by Terry Brooks called "Magic Kingdom, for Sale/Sold"

Lilith 12-26-2003 12:16 AM

Bilbo~ Mr. Lil liked that series too!

There are informative, opinionated books I like to breeze through like "Stupid, White Men" and "Fast Food Nation" but there are other books like ones by Irving, Updike, Monro, Callaghan that I like to savour :)

Last one I went through without stopping was The Real Frank Zappa Book by FZ himself and Peter Occhiogrosso. Reading a lot of technical computer books right now

Lilith,

Last book I read cover to cover without stopping was the Science Fiction work "Ender’s Game" by Orson Card.

Jseal~ My son has read every last book in the "Ender's Game" series and loved every one.

Fantastic Book Lilith... I read it many years ago... you do realize that is only 1 installment of what she has written in that genre. She has also written Beauty's Punishment & Beauty's Release.

:)

I know:D I am on my way to B&N right now ;)

Last book I read straight though (would knarl your hand off if you stopped me from reading it even to give you the Heimlich maneuver!) was Tommyknockers...SK!

I've almost read through SK's Desperation....but it didn't grip me (for some unknown reason) like Tommyknockers did! I'll finish it yet, though! Only three or so more chapters to go.

I read a lot...but never get time to read straight through lately (past two years)...and so I have to pick a point to stop and make sure I do (an extremely hard thing to do)!

A friend sent me some books recently (at my request...from a list of books with no home).....and I've started it and haven't picked it up in a few weeks (time is precious)....it's a detective mystery by Jon Katz.....called The Last Housewife.

I think I have too many irons in the fire....(scuse the expression in reference to books)!

I might need to get those books that you mentioned Lil.....they sound interesting!

Wait till you finish the other 2 books Lil.
;)

I have #3 in my posession now and have #2 on hold at a B&N on the other side of town.

Steph 12-26-2003 03:11 PM

On hold? Aren't they older books, though?

I don't treat myself to books as often lately . . . perhaps if I lived in one place for a long time, I would. Damn books are heavy in a box :D

jennaflower 12-26-2003 03:19 PM

Lilith.. I think you need to get to the other side of town.. LOL... great books.. too bad Santa didn't just drop them off for ya... but wait.. I imagine you had the poor dude so jolly by the time he left your place he must have just forgotten..

Blimey Lilith, you're going back on this one. The last book I must've completed was umpteen years ago and was a Goosebumps book - anyone remember them?

After the September 11th attrocoties I bought a book published by the BBC. I started it but haven't read it nearly 2 years.
