Puff -n- Stuff

My parents must have been on crack cause they encouraged me to watch every Sid & Marty Kroft show ever made. That may explain my warped sense of reality:D

Did you watch all those fun hokey shows? Which one did you love best?

Yeah, I watched Pufnstuff when I was a kid.. I like the flute...

My favorite Kroft show was Land of the Lost..... the teenage son, Will was a cutie.... :lust:

Marshall, Will, and Holly, on a routine expedition,
Met the greatest earthquake ever known.
High on the rapids, it struck their tiny raft.
And plunged them down a thousand feet below
To the Land of the Lost.

OMG!!... I was also traumatized with that show!

Even worse was "Saturday Night Live" from NewYork with John Belushi, Eddie Murphy an the rest of the cast! I tell ya, I need a spychoalnilislist (a shrink!)

Hokey! When my little province finally got cable, it was from Bangor, Maine. Stacey's Jamboree was must-see viewing - a cheesey variety show - more bluegrass than Lawrence Welk. Anyone from Maine here?

I had a friend in university who would stay home and watch old Lawrence Welk repeats on PBS with her parents (and she was a cool chick!).

The Bugaloos, the Bugaloos
We're in the air and everywhere
Flyin' high, flyin' loose
Flyin' free as a summer breese
Happy as a summer breese

The Bugaloos, the Bugaloos
We're climbing high and diving low
Through the sky, across the land
Straight to you with a helping hand
Ready with a helping hand

We're a friend indeed
Should you be in need
If you ever need

The Bugaloos, the Bugaloos
We're in the air and everywhere

I honed my sense of humour with MAD Magazine and watching Rocky and Bulwinkle.Liked Fractured Fairy Tales and Sherman & Peabody.

I used to love that show!
I haven't thought about it in ages
What was the name of their little ape like friend?

WildIrish 08-21-2003 11:50 AM

Chaka was the little monkey boy. He had his own language called Pakuni, and Ta and Sa were his parents.

I was one of those "Leave it to Beaver" fans. "Gees Ward, you were a little hard on the Beaver last night."

I remember Land of the Lost. That had the Slestacks that made the weird noise, right?
I also remember Sigmund the Sea Monster vaguely.

dicksbro 08-21-2003 05:23 PM

jennaflower 08-21-2003 07:23 PM

HR Puff n Stuff... and Sigmund the Sea Monster... not to mention the Romper Room show...
