Not that I am aware of...wanna PM me with what you are looking for?

wyndhy 02-28-2005 01:38 PM

is there a reason anyones knows of that would be keeping all the avs, icons, smileys, etc. from loading on my puter when i'm visiting pixies? it's been happening quite a bit in the last week or so.

quick links won't work either...hmmm

Lilith 02-28-2005 01:45 PM

Things have been agonizingly slow for me lately but things do load. No one else had complained of the speed so I assumed it was just my issue.

wyndhy do you dump your cookies and clean out your temp files often?

PantyFanatic 02-28-2005 01:57 PM

Will we be able to trade 100,00 Smut Game posts for a Shout Box?

yeah, kinda...about every week an a half....my puter is so old i have to, but if that is it this is the first i seem to be paying a price for it.

Sharni 02-28-2005 09:36 PM

I've had absolutely no speed issues....if anything its been a tad faster

If your puter is a dinosaur it just may be now battling with new software...or updates the owners have done....i dont know....just a thought

wyndhy 03-01-2005 10:51 AM

thanks, guys. it seems to be a-ok today. i hope it lasts. you wouldn't think it would be all that bad but it's soooo annoying.

/me wonders what sexual favors she can bribe bigbad with to get him to install the new memory and processor into the tower soon :D

Lilith 03-01-2005 02:56 PM

Mine is instantly better today as well!

wyndhy 03-01-2005 03:47 PM

it's all that lovin you give it :p

wyndhy 03-23-2005 03:27 PM

is it possible to change the title of a thread or can you only change the content?

Lilith 03-23-2005 03:33 PM

Yes it is.... during the edit time window

wyndhy 03-23-2005 03:39 PM

bummer :(
thanks.

Lilith 03-23-2005 04:01 PM

yes it is possible...but if it is past the edit time just PM me and I'll change it for you....less bummer-ish?

wyndhy 03-23-2005 04:15 PM

much! ty! :D

asp 03-30-2005 05:23 PM

I get an email telling me a post has been made but then when I look for it it isn't there, was wondering how that could be?

Lilith 03-30-2005 05:26 PM

most likely the poster deleted the message

lonelyarmywife 06-05-2005 06:33 AM

Mods,

Other message boards I suscribe to have a system called a reputation system. Everyone gets a baseline number of reputation points, then points are added and taken away by other members based on their feelings to a post. it's kind of a reward incentive for members to make thoughtful posts and remain active with the board.

1. is something like that available at Pixies?
2. Would everyone be inerested in using it if it was?

Teddy Bear 06-05-2005 12:38 PM

I don't like the idea.

We have members who can spend hours here each day and others who are only able to be here a few times a week due to work, family or whatever. Neither member is more or less important then the other, but I think this 'point' thing would make it appear so.

I think it would end up being a popularity contest.

Only my opinion though. :)

As long as my ass points south and i'm a Mod....that will not be happening :)

We make mostly thoughtful posts now.....as for remaining active...ppl have different levels of active :) and they should not be penalised for it

Lilith 06-06-2005 03:26 PM

Yes, I've seen how that works at other sites and it's just not something that goes along with the general ease and non-competitive feel of Pixies. I'd prefer people post and visit as they see fit. I believe that if someone makes posts that inspire conversation etc... they are naturally rewarded with replies or a communal feeling of communication. If they post and it is not well received etc., then usually they fade into the woodwork when they get little attention or replies.

Aqua 06-06-2005 03:35 PM

What they said ^^^ :D

lizzardbits 06-07-2005 02:33 AM

i am afraid if we did that, that our lurkers would never feel at ease to finally come out and post. I love seeing long time lurkers finally pop in and say something or post a pic.

When i became a member, i was immediately active, posting my story, and then pics, but not all our members are like that. i respect that.

it is a good idea, but just not for this site.

love, Lizz:D

mayhem1978 06-07-2005 11:05 AM

Yeah sorry but i dont think that will work at all. Ive been a member of several sites and message boards where that is used and it put me right off. I ended up at the bottom of the heap. All because i couldnt get online enough to make posts.

If it was here then i would prolly have never posted. Pixies is a very easy going place and i love that, lets not do anything to spoil it.

dicksbro 06-16-2005 03:18 PM

I guess the Pixie style is why, after I found Pixies, I've spent virtually no time even looking for anyplace else. Stop in at Literotica once in a while ... maybe once or twice a month. Pixies is like home. I like that.

calihotguy 11-14-2005 08:47 PM

problem getting on the web page

for some reason yesterday and today, I am not able to use the main page links...none of the links worked but are replaced by these wierd error messages. Any reason or heard of anyone else having these problems?

Lilith 11-14-2005 09:01 PM

Can you show me what URLs you are referring to because all of the links work for me.

Lilith 11-14-2005 09:03 PM

Are you referring to the Sex News and Latest Post links? I see that is fucked up too. I will pass it along to the tech peeps.

calihotguy 11-15-2005 10:27 PM

yes lilith, that is what I meant....fixed now though, so thanks :)

Lilith 11-15-2005 10:31 PM

I'm very glad they were able to fix it!

scotzoidman 11-17-2005 04:51 PM

last weekend, I was in the middle of posting a longish message when I got a message that the board was "shut down, try again in a few minutes"...never came back up, so I saved the post for later...when I came back on today, I apparently lost my cookie that keeps me signed on, re-entered w/o any prob, but now some of the smilies aren't working...is it just me, or is anybody else having probs too...

Lilith 11-17-2005 04:54 PM

It's not you. A repair was made to the forum, that's why it was shut down, and unfortunately the "fix", broke some things. Once you come back your cookies will be fine, avs have been returned and I got word today that smilies will be fixed ASAP.

scotzoidman 11-17-2005 05:14 PM

Whew, thanks Lil...glad to know that the ole Etch-a-Sketch is still holdin' together...

If it ain't broke...obviously my mechanic hasn't gotten on hold of it yet...

YIPPEE!!!!

I feel like an Italian poster ... I can't talk without my smilies. :D

olive_eyes 12-10-2005 07:01 PM

My smilies are still not working...:(

dicksbro 01-10-2006 06:13 PM

Sniff ... I haven't seen a :line: dance in a long time, either.

wyndhy 01-27-2006 01:32 PM

anybody know why successive capital letters don't make it into the posts every now and then?

lizzardbits 01-27-2006 01:36 PM

yeah ^^^ like ROFLMAO ends up Roflmao when you really want to emphasis that you are laughing so hard that you are splitting your side and about ready to pee your pants

mayhem1978 01-27-2006 01:37 PM

Yeah i know the answer to that one. PHP has a built in checker that checks posts for bad scripts as most of them start with two capital letters.

(used to run a php board ages ago)
