One of the things which cemented my belief in God was the way people died in alphabetical order, as reported in the Sydney Morning Herald obits.

BIBI 03-24-2014 07:54 AM

Many years ago I did find my name in the obits....it was quite an unnerving moment. Found out that she was my former husband's old maid aunt whom I had never even heard of.

A few years back my son's name was in there too......I knew it wasn't him of course but still my heart almost jumped out of my chest.

Making a coffee date with one friend and tapas/drinks date with another.

craveforeric 03-26-2014 07:37 AM

A long time friend whom I have no contact with for years just sent me a message and asking me to meet him and and his wife. He told me that he got hooked up in drugs but was able to pull himself up with the help of his family and girlfriend whom he married after he got better :)

So happy to be on pixies!

gekkogecko 04-04-2014 04:18 PM

I went into work today to find out that in the middle of the week, someone had brought in an entire family of hatchling box turtles (disturbed nest, there were 6 hatchlings). Nothing else wrong with them, so we were able to release them. Of course that doesn't mean that predators won't get them or a renewed cold snap won't kill them, but hey, at least we did get to release them.

If there's anything cuter than a baby turtle, it's an entire family of baby turtles.

dicksbro 04-04-2014 04:22 PM

For any of you with a classical education in the British childhood stories, this brought back memories. BIBI?

Lord Snow 04-13-2014 02:35 AM

Is that by any chance a Mary Poppins reference? I remember in the movie them having tea on the ceiling....

yes, the tea party in Mary Poppins with Uncle Albert.....

Oldfart 04-13-2014 04:16 AM

No, Enid Blyton wrote a couple of books about a magical flying chair which took some children on adventures.

BIBI 04-13-2014 09:16 AM

omg....how could I forget about her books

She also wrote the Noddy character adventures and I loved Noddy!

PantyFanatic 04-13-2014 09:46 AM

What do you have for us without a classical education in the British childhood stories? :(

Half a bottle of port and some stale crackers.

This is our storage shed, waiting for Chateau Oldfart to be built.

One day, when they look up in the sky, they may catch a glimpse of it.

It's only a little bit organised. I'm hoping that most of it will shoe-horn into the new house.

Fangtasia 04-14-2014 03:14 AM

LOL@shoe horn
