Hmm still no luck. I'm guessing that something I tried to set after we changed wireless routers in the house, and I went from Win98 to WinXP in my copy of mIRC 6.x is what's causing it. The system is auto-banning me. Someone suggested that it might be because someone who'd been running an illegal bot might have had my IP address before, but I don't think that's it. Right before I got the boot, I saw a message to the effect of being set with a mode of +x, which I've seen before, but I'm not exactly sure what that means on THEIR network, as it _can_ mean different things on different IRC server software packages. Any suggestions/settings changes/recommendations welcome.
I'm really not online and chatting that often anymore, but I did try the other two networks I used to frequent last night, and had no problems with those. Again, it'd be best to PM/IM me with ideas. |

Well, I tried again tonight and the whole network still has my IP address on ban. It's been suggested that someone else had had this address (under DHCP, as I do) and got THEMselves banned, and I have nothing to do with it. However, as it IS cable, and it feeds the whole house's wireless network, I'll have to remember to try to release/renew and get a different address at some point in time when nobody else is on, and won't be disrupted.
