Is there or is there any hope of them developing a pill to restore or increase the man's desire for sex or libido??? None of the other pills or injections do much good if there isn't that initial desire. And then we need a pill to get him to want to seek help.
:(

I really applaud all of you who are willing to take that step and talk to your doctors. I'm certain your wives or S/O's are very grateful. I know I would be.

i'm a very grateful wife, and have sent blessings to whomever it was that invented viagra, my husband has been taking it for several years, gets the 100mg and cuts it in half, same price for the same amount of pills here whether they're 50mg or 100mg.

i hadn't realized how much i'd missed the hardness until he got it back with that

they are costly and i truly appreciate that he loves me and wants me enough to buy them

Hello, I tell ya one thing just the feeling of having erection that is rock hard like they used to be we were younger. I have never had a problem but I first tried some stuff called Stamina RX and hey let me tell ya it was great I understand now they are putting a stop to it in the US. To me it was just like Viagra only much less cost. Ya know it really sux when something works and the do away with it.

Barry, I know you said you had great success with Stamna RX, but when I did a search on it, I found this. Probably good info for anyone considering the product's use ...

FDA Public Health Advisory:
FDA Warns Consumers Against Taking the Following Dietary Supplements-SIGRA, STAMINA Rx and STAMINA Rx for Women, Y-Y, Spontane ES and Uroprin

Today (June 30, 2003), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers not to purchase or consume the following products: SIGRA, STAMINA Rx and STAMINA Rx for Women, Y-Y, Spontane ES and Uroprin, manufactured by NVE, Inc., in Newton, N.J. and distributed by Hi-Tech in Norcross, Ga. These products, which are being marketed as dietary supplements, actually contain a prescription drug ingredient that poses possible health risks. The products are being sold over-the-counter and are claiming to increase stamina, confidence and performance.

FDA has determined that the products actually contain the prescription-strength drug ingredient, tadalafil. Tadalafil is the active ingredient in Cialis, an Eli Lilly product approved in Europe to treat male erectile dysfunction. An interaction between certain prescription drugs containing nitrates (such as nitroglycerin) and tadalafil may cause a drastic lowering of blood pressure. There is real danger that this product may be taken by patients taking nitrates since erectile dysfunction is often a common problem in people with diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), ischemic heart disease and in people who smoke.

FDA's Office of Criminal Investigations, with assistance from FDA’s New Jersey and Atlanta Districts, executed concurrent federal search warrants in Georgia and New Jersey after finding these dietary supplements.

Consumers who have used these products and have medical concerns should consult with their health care providers.

All consumers should be aware of the risks associated with these products.

Well I am the kind of person that belives the should just label it as such and if these people taking heart pills take it and die so what. They were really good for me and at a price I can afford. Anyway if they are so dumb to go on and take them with heart pills. Maybe it is best they were removed from the gean pool however ya spell it. hehehe that is all

Lilith 03-08-2004 07:15 AM

The problem is that men who have heart disease/ diabetes etc.. are the precise men who often suffer erectile dysfunction. So it would seem reasonable to take the product. Then their heart begins to act up and they need to take a nitrate pill and when they do their pressure bottoms out. Most medications for erectile dysfunction pander to the heart diseased/diabetic population. TY dicksbro for the heads up!
