That is the TV guide for my area for today. It is the free to air guide and not cable.

tv here in the US is a lot more censored than what you get in Oz....after 8pm you can't get any other kind of nudity and/or cursing lol..you have to have access to hbo or cinemax ...which are extra paid for channels of course lol,.....the "land of the free" is indeed...a lot less "free" than what Oz sure seemed like to me, especially with the tv show selections...

NEVER ask in a bar if you can bum a fag, or push in someone's stool.

Americans still have 1 cent coins (pennies) that can weigh in total

almost a kilo (2 pounds) by the end of the day.

Pack in a bottle of Schweppes Dry Ginger ale syrup, 'cos you can't

get a scotch and dry for love nor money.

Milk is usually half strength and "gravy and biscuits" are neither.

Traffic on the wrong side of the road is dis-orienting when you

are trying to work out how to get home.

Carry a cell phone or walkie talkies in case you get separated from the group:D

Unless you are visiting near the border. Canada has Schweppes.

While in the UK, one will need to have:

1).. As much wet weather gear as one can carry including a lifevest!

Grumble 01-19-2004 06:43 AM

well I am certainly getting some good hints, luckily for me I am going to be in the company of a lot of Pixies friends, that is a very special thing for me, to be invited to stay at so many homes of people that only know me from my postings ect.

I built my trip around people not places and it is as exciting as can be.

If any pixies are visiting Australia, you can count on a place to stay and a delighted Grumble.

We have schweppes ginger ale! LMAO@Oldfart to bumming a fag...and pushing in a stool! OMGGGGG! I'm gonna peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Geezzzz.....even I am learning a thing or two that I might have taken for granted!

Seriously though......it may still be chilly to cold (might even snow yet) by the time of your visit to my part, Ian......so bring warm undies and a sweater or two!

Catch22 01-19-2004 01:26 PM

Do not say "Bugger me dead!" while standing a bar in San Francisco.

Mae 01-23-2004 06:17 PM
