Michael Crichton has died in Los Angeles of cancer. He was 66 years old.

He was the author of some very popular fiction, The Andromeda Strain, Jurassic Park, and The Lost World being three well known titles. According to HarperCollins, his books have sold more than 150 million copies.

At one time he had the movie Jurassic Park, the novel Disclosure, and a TV series, ER, all at #1.

R.I.P. sir.

Rising Sun is a real page turner. It's my very favorite work of his.

Hadn't heard this yet. Crichton was one of my all time faves, got most of his stuff sitting on my bookshelf now. Time to start reading all his books again I guess.

When I went in for a sleep study *mumbleteen* years ago, they wired my noggin with so many electrodes I told them I felt like the "Terminal Man"...they didn't get the reference at all. Still one of the scariest modern horror stories I ever read.
