Thanks for the holiday wish...have a sparkling 4th!
Oh, and I guess you're from the state of KY...not from the company who makes the lubricant. :dizzy:

IAK, I didn't know you were from KY. What part? PM me if you want it kept private.

Hell...I never thought this would get so many responses.
And yep, I am from Kentucky...personally I like Astroglide MUCH better than KY.
Kisses and licks to you all (or just a good handshake if you aren't up for all that).

Grew up and lived most of my life outside of Louisville--still just have a SLIGHT accent. These people here in Iowa can't appreciate it, though. :D

The accents here can be hilarious and I have lived here all my life. Hell, you can drive from one side of the ville to the other and catch a totally different accent.
How long you have you been away from KY?

I spent two years in southern CA from '96 to '98, a few months back in Kentucky after that, then here in Iowa the rest of the time.
My accent is pretty mild--a lot of it comes out in the "I" sound. However, my sister, who has lived in eastern KY for a good number of years now, *definitely* has a more pronounced accent. :)

OH yeah...the mountain area has some fairly distinct accents. And I know what you mean about the 'I'...the only time mine really shows is when I say '9' or '5' or 'wine'. But I do know there is no 'r' is wash!

Yeah, isn't it amazing how "I" has an "ahhhh" sound? :)
No "r" in wash, and "sheriff" is a two-syllable word. :D

Yep...and I am still looking in the garden for liberries. Lots of folks seem to enjoy them around home.
And one other thing, a major pet peeve here, when you have a thought it is an idea, not an ideal.

That's okay--in Iowa, you "go with." Period. OMG. :spin:
(I'm sooooo glad we can make fun of ourselves! :D)

Do they drink Pop, soda, or (as we say in the South) coke (meaning any damn carbonated soft drink you choose) in Iowa?

I get teased *all* of the time because everything's Coke to me. :D
They drink pop in Iowa. I have to be VERRRRRY conscious when I talk about it. LMAO!

And of couse when they ask where you went to school there I bet they aren't referring to high school like they are in Kentucky (such an educated state we are from).

OMG, I'm rolling! Yeah, they want to know if you went to Iowa or Iowa State. That determines which side of the fence you sit on, kind of like a UL/UK thing. :D

Maybe it means you'd just have to prove my preconceptions wrong...or right, as the case may be. ;)
