A German-based doctor has invented breast implants made from titanium.

Ziya Saylan, who's originally from Argentina, runs a practice in Dusseldorf.

Saylan uses a fine titanium mesh he claims will stop breasts from sagging. Once the mesh has been implanted, the woman has to spend two to three days in hospital.

He says a similar technique is used to help hernia patients.

"Since the material is about as thick as breast tissue, it cannot be felt. The operation is painless, but for up to the three months, the sensitive breast tissue may occasionally hurt when touched or pressed," he said.

He says the operation can be done on all women up to the age of 60, regardless of breast size.

But he admits that he "reaches better results for women with small, sagging breasts."

He added: "All in all, the cost of the operation is about £4,600. I know that's not cheap, but the material for the titanium bra alone costs £800
