I was listening to the news this morning and they've announced that Johnny Depp WILL play Ozzy in the up-coming movie . JD was Ozzy's first and only choice. I know some folks don't like Ozzy Osbourne...but I grew up with him and I love the stuffins outta him! This will be one movie I will be sure to see!

the success of that movie may depend more on who plays Sharon.

Oops! Sorry guys...

It's THE movie about Ozzy Osbourne's life...from childhood to present day. He's quite a character and has had a very interesting life. Kinda sad childhood even.

The movie is not yet in production...so it won't be out for a while, but I'm still looking forward to it! I can't wait to see Johnny imitate Ozzy in a concert scene...or bite the head off a bird (it was a bird peeps...NOT a bat!). I saw Black Sabbath way back in the early 70's and have watched Ozzy's transformation to present day. It'll be interesting to see how they make the changes in the film.

Not necessarily scotz. Sharon wasn't always in Ozzy's life and this is a film of his entire life. They haven't chosen who'll play Sharon yet, but yes, that'll be interesting. But, if anyone can play Ozzy...it's Johnny Depp! OMG...can't wait to try and decypher that accent! LMFAO!

I missed out seeing Black Sabbath here back in '72...Ozzy had laryngitis (or so they said...nudge, nudge, wink wink) so Black Oak Arkansas did a double set...a few years later Sabbath was supposed to play here again, & this time they couldn't play 'cuz Oz passed out in the wrong hotel room the night before...boy, he's such a card, that Ozzy...

Oh, and Lixy...he did actually bite a bat too...or at least he put one in his mouth that had been thrown onstage...he thought it was just a rubber toy till he bit down on it...he had to have the whole painful series of rabies shots because of that little gaffe...& Sharon refused to kiss him when he came offstage!

And I realize Sharon hasn't always been a part of his life, but she has been there for the 2nd half (so far), & has been the one who basically saved him from his own demons many times over...since she's also been very visible herself, I think it will be a challenge to find an actress who can play that combo of femininity & balls all at once...

As to the bat thing scotz...it started out like this. Ozzy was stoned and in a meeting with some promotional peeps and he got up and took a bird from a cage in the room...sat down on one of the big wig's lap and proceeded to "pretend" to put the bird's head in his mouth. I guess the drugs kicked in about then and he just bit the head off the live bird. They have that meeting on tape, actually. It was really yucky. Anyway, the media got hold of the story and they told two friends and so on and so on...and voila...the bird turned into a bat in the media version. And then came that concert when the bat was thrown on stage...and the rabies shots and all that shit. Ozzy is always in the wrong place at the wrong time! LOL! He's a lot like my brother was.

As to Sharon...Ozzy is so lucky she did come into his life and stayed after all his shit. He'd be dead by now if it weren't for her!
