A Love Bus that offered young couples a cheap place to have sex in Uruguay has been seized by the police.
The vehicle had been refurbished to include a king size bed and was rented out to couples for £1 an hour.
It proved popular among couples in the city of Salto until police decided it was illegal and confiscated it.
The bus owner, who refused to give his name, told Terra Noticias Populares that he came up with the idea after demand fell for his former business running a guided tour service.
"I had to be creative and find a new use for my bus," the owner told the newspaper.
As well as the king sized bed, he installed romantic music and lighting to put couples in the mood for love.
However, local love motels complained they were losing business and asked the police to investigate.
A police spokesman said: "We got an anonymous phone call and went to investigate the story. We had to confiscate the Love Bus despite protests. It is not legal and had no proper hygiene conditions."
